FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: February 3rd, 2025: 9:00am MST
Red Deer, Canada, February 3rd, 2025 – Rebel Vac Systems, a premier and trusted manufacturer of hydro-excavation and industrial vacuum trucks, is proud to announce its 25th anniversary. For a quarter of a century, the Company has been dedicated to delivering the best-in-class equipment and service to its customers across North America and making a lasting impact within the infrastructure solutions sector.
February 3rd, 2000 – Rebel was founded by two Bomega Manufacturing employees following the sale to Badger Daylighting who wanted to continue manufacturing best-in-class code (dangerous goods) vacuum equipment for customers within the Alberta region. Over the years, the Company has evolved into a premier manufacturer offering a full suite of hydro-excavation and industrial vacuum equipment to both Code and Non-Code clients across North America, becoming a cornerstone partner for many. This milestone marks not only a celebration of past achievements but also an exciting vision for the future.
“Reaching 25 years in business is a monumental accomplishment, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the support of our dedicated team and valued customers over the years. Although I’ve only been with the organization for a small part of Rebel’s rich history, it was apparent on my first day that there was something special here – and everyday I’m extremely proud to be apart of this organization” said CEO, Curtis Colbary.
Rebel has always prioritized quality, transparency and innovation; and if our partners didn’t trust us to consistently deliver high quality outputs on-time and on-budget, we’d have closed our doors a long time ago.
Employee Reflections
“I’ve been with Rebel from pretty much the beginning; and being part of this company for 25 years, I’ve seen firsthand how much we’ve grown and evolved. From a small operation to a business with North American reach, the progress has been remarkable. Each challenge we faced pushed us to innovate and improve our processes, leading to the success we see today. It’s been an honor to contribute to this journey and witness the transformation along the way.” said Welding Manager, Rien Zilinksy, who joined Rebel in August of 2000.
“Wow, 23 years has gone by so quickly! I have spent most of my adult life at Rebel and the people here are like a second family to me. Over the past 23 years, I’ve seen this company grow from a small team into a leader in our industry. We’ve expanded our operations, entered new markets, and achieved milestones that once seemed out of reach. The progress we’ve made is a result of hard work, adaptability, and a clear focus on our collective goals. It’s been rewarding to contribute to that growth and see the impact of our efforts; and I am proud to have been a part of the Rebel team that has allowed it to grow and become what it is today. I am so thankful for the customers and vendors that have not only supported Rebel, but myself along the way. We couldn’t have done it without them. I look forward to the next 25 years!” said VP Sales & Production, Duane Hirsekorn, who joined Rebel in May of 2002.
As Rebel looks ahead, the Company remains committed to its long-term commitment of delivering exceptional equipment and service. The 25thanniversary is a testament to the Company’s resilience, adaptability, and the relationships built over the years; and look forward to the next chapter of journey.
